what were the errors you encountered (as listed in the update log)? Was it only the one about could not delete the zip file or were there others.
Check the file permissions on the server. The script somehow couldn't delete the zip file.
The folders should be CHMOD 755 and files 644
Follow the advice; restore your backup and try the update again.
